R63 down-lighters are now obsolete, the bulbs are difficult to come by and many of the fittings pose a fire risk.  Switching to modern fire rated GU10 fittings gives the following benefits:

v  Save electricity even with standard halogen bulbs (17% by using 50W bulbs instead of 60W rising to over 90% using LED bulbs)

v  Light fittings are fire rated making your home less at risk from fire.

v  Fittings are “future proof” as they will also take energy saving bulbs (both LED and compact fluorescent).

v  Longer bulb life (halogen bulbs last up to 5 times longer than the equivalent traditional bulb)

v  More light – per watt on average halogen bulbs give 15% more light than the equivalent traditional bulb.
